PLUMP UP YOUR SKIN VOLUME

Enhance Your Facial Features

Over time, the natural fat and connective tissue underneath your skin begins to deteriorate, leaving you with skin that has less volume, more wrinkles, and a saggy appearance.

This process can begin as early as the age of twenty, which is why many individuals are turning towards dermal fillers made out of hyaluronic acid.

This acid-base is naturally occurring in the body and can-do wonders to plump up skin volume and create a smooth complexion.

One such dermal filler that uses hyaluronic acid is Restylane®, which works to enhance facial features and give you long-lasting results.

What is Restylane® & How Does It Work?

Restylane® is a line of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers that are used to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the skin. Upon injection, the filler acts as a sort of scaffolding, mimicking connective tissue and smoothing out the skin above it.

Once it is set in place the hyaluronic acid stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen, which is the natural connective tissue that would normally give your skin a smooth look.

Once the dermal filler is absorbed into the body, the collagen remains, maintaining the youthful look that the filler provided in its place.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESTYLANE®, RESTYLANE-L® AND RESTYLANE-LYFT®?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RESTYLANE®, RESTYLANE-L® AND RESTYLANE-LYFT®?

Each variant in the Restylane line-up is chemically similar to one another, with only slight differences in concentrations and particle size.

However, this means that each is better suited for a particular use.

  • Restylane®. Standard Restylane contains the finest particle size, and thus is better suited to areas where fine detail is required. This includes the lips and around the eyes but can also include the cheeks.

  • Restylane-L®. The most versatile of the group, and containing the local anesthetic, lidocaine for increased comfort during injection, Restylane-L is thicker, and better suited for areas that require a slightly more drastic approach. Around the mouth, cheeks and nose, where deep creases and lines can form, are the ideal locations for this option.

  • Restylane-Lyft®. The thickest and densest of the line, Restylane-Lyft is ideal for large areas that would require multiple injections of Restylane and Restylane-L, including the cheeks, forehead and even the backs of the hands.
9-18 MONTHS

How Long Do Results Last With Restylane®?

You will end up seeing results almost immediately after treatment, including increased volume, a smoother complexion, and a younger-looking appearance.

Results will typically last anywhere between 9-18-months depending on the area of treatment.

When used to treat the lip area, the results will be shorter lived as there is more movement in the mouth area, versus in tear troughs, where there is little to no movement at all.

How to Prepare for Treatment & What To Expect

How to prepare for treatment with restylane

There is very little preparation needed for a Restylane treatment. You will need to discuss your medical history and provide a list of which supplements, herbs, or medications you currently take.

If any of these would interfere with the treatment, you will be asked to stop taking these medications prior to treatment.

Make sure to remove any makeup, serums, or lotions from your face and avoid chemical peels prior to your procedure. The areas of treatment will be determined during your consultation. When you come in for your treatment, Restylane will be injected into the treatment areas using a fine needle.

You should feel little to no discomfort as most Restylane products come with lidocaine included.

The procedure will take anywhere from 10-30-minutes to complete. There is little to no downtime after treatment, so you will be able to resume your daily activities.

What Are the Side Effects of Treatment?

Restylane treatments are non-invasive but because they are an injection, you may get a little bit of pain around the injection area.

You may also experience swelling, bruising, and redness around the treatment area, but this should resolve within 2-weeks of treatment.

You can be provided with nitrous gas, topical numbing creams, ice packs, squeeze balls, or dental blocks to help distract and eliminate any discomfort during the procedure.

How Much Does It Cost?

This is dependent on which version of Restylane you are getting. The average cost is anywhere between $300-800 per syringe used for your treatment. However, the geographic area, how many treatments you need, and the provider will determine the total price.
