Microblading is a semi-permanent makeup technique performed by individuals who obtain a tattoo license that is used to create fine, natural-looking individual hair strokes. While similar to body tattooing, microblading uses a manual, hand-held, fine blade to implant or etch the pigment into the skin rather than using needles. Microblading in Orlando is a relatively new procedure, but it has quickly gained popularity due to its ability to create beautiful, natural-looking results. Call today to discuss this popular treatment method with one of our skin care experts.
Call us NowOur Orlando microblading procedure is relatively quick, clocking in at 1-2 hours in length, and there is minimal recovery time needed. Here is what to expect at your first appointment.
After your initial microblading appointment at our office in Orlando, you will need a second, follow-up appointment about 4-6 weeks after to complete the eyebrows. At about the 12-month mark, many individuals find that a touch-up appointment is needed to freshen up their eyebrows – by darkening them or reshaping them back to the original desired look. Those who have oily skin, are out in the sun a lot, or are active may need the touch-up appointment sooner (around eight months), and those who have dry skin or don’t go outside as much may be able to go 1-2 years without a touch-up appointment.
Contact Us NowYes! Your esthetician will provide you with a mirror that you can use during the entire appointment. We routinely stop for you to ask questions, and we run the microblading service in passes or phases so that you can see what it looks like after every pass. This means that as the microblading builds on itself, you can approve, disapprove, or ask for adjustments along the way. As well as adjust the shape and color at the touch-up appointment if desired.
The lifespan of the results depends on a few factors, such as your skin type, lifestyle, medications, and age. However, with proper care, most of our Orlando patients get 12-18 months on average out of their microblading treatment.
The topical anesthetic (numbing cream) given makes the experience more comfortable. If you feel anything at all, it will be akin to a mild tingling sensation. The anesthetic injection, if requested helps to completely numb the brows for little to no pain.
Book a Consultation TodayAfter your Orlando microblading procedure, your eyebrows will look darker and bolder than what your final result will be. This is because the pigment used during microblading contains iron oxide, which darkens as it oxidizes in the air. Your eyebrows will also look slightly swollen and red, which is normal and will subside within a few days.
You will be given aftercare instructions to follow, which include keeping your eyebrows clean and dry. This means no sweating or submerging your eyebrows in water, so make sure to get your workout and showering done beforehand. It is also important to avoid sun exposure and tanning during the healing process. You will be given a healing ointment to apply every day until the eyebrows are completely healed.
Some individuals experience scabbing and flaking during the healing process. If this happens to you, do not pick at the scabs, as this can potentially cause scarring. The scab will fall off on its own, revealing your beautiful new eyebrows! Healing can take anywhere between 7 to 14 days, depending on the individual.
If you are unhappy with the final result, you can always schedule a touch-up appointment at our office to make any necessary adjustments.
