Our liposuction service in Orlando has the unique ability to remove unwanted subcutaneous fat without adversely impacting other areas of your body that you love.
The liposuction procedure, also known as lipoplasty or lipo, will remove localized stubborn areas of fat that refuse to respond to exercise and a healthy diet.
Unwanted fat can be removed from your stomach, thighs, neck, face, upper arms, buttocks, and hips. Our specialized liposuction techniques also allow us to remove fat from the chin and jawline.
Call us NowWhile the techniques and technology used are dependent on the type of liposuction being done, the general idea is that your fat cell count is reduced by breaking apart your fat cells so that they can easily be suctioned out. Typically, a cannula is inserted and used to suction the fat layers (damage them). If any loose fat is left behind, it will be absorbed back into the body over a 6-12 week period.
There are four main types of liposuction we perform in Orlando.
Our team will go over your medical history and examine the areas of stubborn fat.
Our Orlando plastic surgeon will determine which type of liposuction will work best for you and brief you on all relevant surgical options.
We will talk about what happens during the procedure and what the risks and benefits are.
Contact Us NowYou can be treated with liposuction if you have stubborn fat deposits or layers that do not respond to healthy eating and exercise.
However, you must be at a stable weight and have fairly firm and elastic skin that can shrink during the healing process.
In so long as the fat cells are subcutaneous (under the skin) and not visceral (around the organs), they can be treated with liposuction. Both pregnancy and childbirth are completely possible and safe after having a lipo treatment.
Our certified Orlando anesthesiologist is present during the entire liposuction procedure to keep you relaxed, calm, and comfortable.
Book a Consultation TodayAfter your liposuction procedure in Orlando, expect there to be swelling and some bruising for several weeks.
You will be required to wear a compression garment for up to 6 weeks to help keep the swelling down and prevent infection.
During the first three weeks of your recovery, the compression garment must be worn day and night unless showering. In weeks 3-6, the compression garment may only need to be worn during the day, depending on how quickly your body has taken to healing.
You will not be able to return to work immediately and will need to take a break from household duties and physical exercise.
